Which accounts may be used?

You are responsible for using only accounts that you own or have explicit permission to access. Do not use the app to bypass organization policy, account controls, billing rules, service limits, or another person's access restrictions.

What does the app change?

The app stores authorized local profile snapshots, changes the active file-backed Codex credential after user confirmation, verifies the selected identity, and reopens Codex Desktop. It does not merge accounts, combine workspaces, increase usage limits, move subscriptions, or revoke every server-side session.

Which third-party terms still apply?

Codex, ChatGPT accounts, browser authentication, subscriptions, workspaces, and related services are provided by OpenAI. Your use of those services remains subject to the applicable OpenAI Terms of Use and policies. GitHub provides the repository, Releases, Issues, Discussions, and Pages hosting under GitHub's applicable terms.

What license covers the source code?

The source code is published under the MIT License. That license permits use, copying, modification, distribution, sublicensing, and sale subject to retaining its copyright and permission notice.

Is the software provided with a warranty?

The MIT License provides the software “as is,” without warranty of any kind, and limits author liability as stated in the license. Review account labels and the confirmation screen before each switch, and avoid switching while important Codex Desktop work is running.
